Article 1 – General Previsions

Paragraph 1. Name
The name of this association shall be the East Asian Association of Phonosurgery hereinafter referred to as the Association.

Paragraph 2. Purpose
The purpose of the Association is to promote and advance the practice of Phonosurgery, encourage the development of friendly relations among its members in the East Asian area, and facilitate the international exchange of knowledge and idea in this field of practice.

Paragraph 3. Activities
The Conference will foster the following activities in order to achieve its purpose:
a. Holding of the East Asian Conference on Phonosurgery every two years.
b. Other activities which are necessary to achieve the purpose of the Association.

Article 2 – Membership (Fellows)

Paragraph 4. Categories
There shall four categories of membership (Fellows):
Honorary Board Members, Board Members, Secretarial Members, Ordinary Members
A board member who is over 65 years old becomes a honorary board member automatically.

Artcle 3 – Chapters

Paragraph 5. Chapter status
The Executive Council of the Board may grant the members of certain territories Chapter Status in the East Asian area.

Paragraph 6. Chapter Organizations
a. Each Chapter shall nominate a Chairperson according to the Bylaws of the Chapter.
b. Each Chapter shall draw up Bylaws for the Chapter.

Article 4 – The Board and Officers of the Association

Paragraph 7. Qualifications
All officers are to be elected from the Fellows of the Association.

Paragraph 8. Board
a. The governing body of the Association shall be the Executive Council of the Board.
b. The Board shall be composed of Chairperson, Co-chairperson and Executive Councilors as Board Members.
c. Secretarial Members shall assist the Executive Council of the Board.

Article 5 – Meetings

Paragraph 9. Categories
The Association shall hold the following two categories of regular meetings;
a. The East Asian Conference on Phonosurgery
b. Board Meetings

Paragraph 10. The East Asian Conference of Phonosurgery
The Conference are to be conducted by the President and Organizing Committee of each Chapter every two years.

Paragraph 11. Board Meetings
a. The Executive Council of the Board is formed by the Chairperson, Co-chairperson and Executive Councilors. b. Honorary Board Members and Secretarial Members can attend the Board Meetings, but cannot have a vote.

Article 6 – Amendment of the Bylaws

Paragraph 12.
These Bylaws shall not be subject to amendment except resolution of a Meeting of the Executive Council of the Board.

Article 7 – Supplementary Regulations

Paragraph 13. Authorization
Regulations relative to the application of these bylaws can be adopted after approval by the Executive Council of the Board.
